The white paper “Diverting unwanted currents from your electrical installations” by José Claudio de Oliveira e Silva of APTEMC highlights the need for efficient cable bonding and cable shielding. It presents results from cable bonding efficiency tests showing that the effectiveness depends on the method. A traditional earthing kit using a “pigtail” had a bonding efficiency of approximately 62% while a Roxtec solution came in at a cable bonding efficiency exceeding 99%.
