Cable and pipe seal manufacturer Roxtec will bring its cutting-edge technology and expertise to this year’s Global Offshore Wind conference and exhibition. Recognised as the world leader in the field, the Roxtec team will demonstrate at the premier gathering of the world’s offshore wind power community how its technology is not only securing the long-term operational reliability of offshore power generation in harsh environments but also significantly reducing costs.
RenewableUK’s Global Offshore Wind will run June 18-19 at Manchester Central, and Roxtec can be found at stand C130.
Global supplier
Roxtec has been a major global supplier to the wind power generation industry since 2002 with involvement in more than 130 large-scale projects. Today, Roxtec solutions for cable and pipe sealing and management are present in more than 90 percent of the wind farms.

Steel savings
In addition to the intense focus on safety and reliability, Roxtec technology is reducing the construction costs of wind farms by cutting the need for steel by up to 50 percent. The development of oval seals has enabled each structure to be built with less steel.
“This is a huge saving as steel is the main cost driver when creating offshore wind farms,” said Schöbel.” The oval seals we have created minimise the stress concentration factor and thus reduce the need for steel.”
