Kristin is a semi-submersible platform built to be operated by Statoil for extraction of gas and condensate in the Kristin gas field in the Norwegian Sea.
International engineering challenge
The project can be seen as a good example of where Roxtec products fulfill the requirements of a technically advanced construction. Roxtec seals cover a range of sealing requirements including protection against fire, water pressure, gas, explosion and electromagnetic disturbance. Roxtec has supplied cable and pipe sealing solutions to several of the platform system modules, built in Korea, Sweden, Spain and Norway.
