The cable and pipe transit management software Roxtec Transit Operate™ has been certified by the ship classification society Class NK, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai. The certificate states that Roxtec Transit Operate™ “supports the installation and maintenance of mechanical cable and pipe seals of transits in critical marine environments, increasing the safety onboard ships” and that it “supports saving labor hours and decreasing costs”.
“We are satisfied by this official and important recognition from Class NK,” says Mats Åhman, Head of Digital Solutions at cable and pipe transit provider Roxtec. “We have invented and developed this digital management system to help the marine industry take complete control of, document and keep track of all transits through the entire lifecycle of their ships and vessels.”
Simplifies compliance with class requirements
Roxtec Transit Operate™ is ideal for ensuring compliance with the updated requirements on watertight cable transits from IACS, the International Association of Classification Societies. The regulations require that ship owners and operators maintain a cable transit seal systems register.
Roxtec Transit Operate™ is created by Roxtec sealing experts to make it easy to keep all relevant information on each transit installation accessible and up to date. It provides instant information on the transit status and enables team members and suppliers to cooperate in an efficient way.
