Roxtec can now, together with four of its partners within transportation, announce that the freights from Karlskrona for the replenishment of the group’s regional distribution centers in Singapore and Shanghai are 100 percent climate neutral.
This is the result of Roxtec joining transportation and logistics company Geodis’ concept for Sustainable Marine Fuels in 2021, which is used for the ocean freights carried out by logistics company Maersk, and of entering a deeper strategic partnership as Climate Neutral Railport Partner with the Port of Gothenburg in 2022.
The port is developing fossil-free terminal operations through its rail system, RAILPORT Scandinavia, and guarantees climate-neutral rail transport between the rail terminal and the port. In addition to this, the short distance transports carried out by truck from the plant in Karlskrona to the closest rail terminal in Karlshamn in Sweden are run on renewable HVO100 diesel by the freight forwarder "Tores Åkeri", while the truck transports from the ports in Singapore and Shanghai to the warehouses are climate compensated through Geodis.
